Shanghai Shengri Chemical Co., Ltd. organized a fire fighting and fire escape drill at 9:00 a.m. on June 23, 2021. Under the high attention of the company leaders and the active participation of all employees, the exercise has reached the expected goal, but there are some shortcomings.

1,Main features and methods：

1-1.The exercise is well prepared. In order to do a good job in the exercise, the Ministry of Safety has formulated a more detailed exercise plan. According to the specific division of labor in the exercise plan, each department organized fire-fighting skills knowledge training, prepared the equipment, tools, and materials required for the exercise, and formulated relevant actions. The command procedures laid a good foundation for the smooth implementation of the exercise.

1-2.The exercise has received great attention from the company’s leadership. In order to organize the exercise, special trainings were organized and the importance of the exercise was emphasized. All departments were required to cooperate closely and strictly follow the plan, so that the exercise was successfully completed.

1-3.The exercise procedures were formal, orderly, and effective. The exercise starts at 9:00 and ends at 10:00. The entire exercise ranges from alarming, receiving alarms, dispatching, using fire extinguishers, material leakage, fire escape, aftermath work to commentary, and the levels are clear and orderly.

2,There is insufficient：

Some employees have no idea what to do with the leaking flammable liquid, so they directly collect it with iron equipment (it is very dangerous, because the friction of iron equipment will cause sparks and cause the combustion of flammable liquid). There are shortcomings in the use of fire extinguishers and fire fighting methods. After the training and explanation of safety officers, employees have a deeper understanding. The use of the fire extinguisher needs to occupy the air outlet, unplug the plug, and then firmly hold the nozzle root and press the handle, to avoid the nozzle throwing spray, injured people; The fire extinguishing sequence should be from near to far, from bottom to top, so as to extinguish the fire source more effectively.

3,Improvement measures:

At the same time, organize each employee to carry out a fire extinguisher practical operation training, to ensure that each employee field operation. Especially packers and new employees, who are more female, must participate.
